Faith and Hope Month

Let your faith guide you | Create hope for others

About the observance

Compassion and generosity are foundational beliefs of most major religions. Organ & Tissue donation is a sacred expression of these values. We join our communities of faith each November to explore faith-based perspectives and teachings that call on us to give to others through organ, eye & tissue donation. Together with faith leaders, hospitals, and community partners in Illinois and northwest Indiana, we invite you to learn the facts, register as a donor, and share your decision with family.

Know the facts

Every major religion in the United States supports organ donation as one of the highest expressions of compassion and generosity.

For more information on how faith traditions view organ donation, visit our Faith-Based Resources page. You will also find resources to support Faith & Hope Month observance and communication at the bottom of this page.
