Celebrating the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.
Let your faith guide you | Create hope for others
Join Gift of Hope for Faith & Hope Month
We join our communities of faith each November to reflect on perspectives and teachings that call on us to give to others through organ, eye & tissue donation.
Faith & Hope Month is a time to explore faith-based perspectives on organ, eye and tissue donation. Together with faith leaders, hospitals, and community partners in Illinois and northwest Indiana, we invite you to “Say Yes” to donation by learning the facts, registering as a donor, and sharing your decision with family.
Every major religion in the United States supports organ donation as one of the highest expressions of compassion and generosity.
For more information on how faith traditions view organ donation, visit our Faith-Based Resources page. You will also find resources to support Faith & Hope Month observance and communication at the bottom of this page.
With more than 100,000 people waiting for life-saving organ transplant nationwide—including more than 5,000 in Illinois and Indiana—your support is crucial. Share your support for donation and encourage your faith community, your family and others to register as donors. Share on social using #SayYestoDonation and tag @GiftofHope.
