Daniel Simpson oversees preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and the audited annual report for Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, the Gift of Hope Community Foundation and the Illinois Transplant Fund. He oversees accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and the budgeting process. Simpson collaborates with executive leadership to manage cash flow and assist in business forecasting. He is a member of the Retirement Committee for Gift of Hope’s 403(b) plan.
Simpson joined Gift of Hope in 2004 and assumed increasingly responsible positions in Finance prior to his current leadership position. Before Gift of Hope, Simpson worked in accounting within the transportation logistics industry.
Simpson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. He is also a registered certified public accountant in the state of Illinois. Simpson serves as the volunteer treasurer of his community homeowner’s association and has held roles in his local elementary school district’s parent-teacher organization.
