Brett Kesselring leads and directs Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network’s Education & Training Services Department in providing organizational oversight of education and training for all Gift of Hope employees. Along with his team, Kesselring directs the new hire orientation and onboarding process to ensure that all Gift of Hope colleagues are well trained and prepared to support the mission of saving and enhancing as many lives as possible through organ and tissue donation. Kesselring also ensures organizational compliance by managing accurate training records and audit compliance. His areas of specific focus and expertise include family support, authorization, and organ and tissue recovery processes. 

Kesselring joined Gift of Hope in 2002 as an Organ & Tissue Surgical Coordinator and has served in leadership roles in Organ Recovery, Hospital Development and Authorization.  In 2021, Kesselring helped establish Gift of Hope’s Education & Training Services Department as its Manager prior to becoming Director.  

Kesselring is a board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C), a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) and a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS). Kesselring has served as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) Education & Training Council, provided multiple presentations locally and nationally for the Organization for Donation and Transplant Professionals  (NATCO), AOPO, and the Organ Donation & Transplantation Alliance.  Kesselring is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
