As Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging & Culture at Gift of Hope, Aisha Ghori Ozaki develops policies, practices and procedures to ensure everyone at Gift of Hope feels welcomed, valued, respected, appreciated and heard, and they can bring their authentic self to work.
Ghori Ozaki ensures all DEIB training, education and initiatives align with the organization’s mission, vision and values, including equitable practices for recruitment, selection, advancement and succession planning. Aisha is devoted to ensuring that all individuals find their passion and contribute toward creating an inclusive and just environment.
Ghori Ozaki comes to Gift of Hope from Northwestern University’s Office for Research where she served as Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. She also spent several years on the enterprise-wide DEI team at Allstate. Aisha holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sociology from DePaul University and is certified in the administration and interpretation of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). She also holds diversity and inclusion certificates from Northwestern University and Cornell University. Ghori Ozaki is fluent in Urdu, serves on the board for the Asian Americans Advancing Justice Chicago organization, and volunteers with multiple nonprofits.
