About the Foundation
Gift of Hope provides compassionate organ and tissue donation and recovery services throughout Illinois serves Illinois and parts of Northern Indiana. As the federally designated organ recovery organization for the State of Illinois, Gift of Hope ensures that organ and tissue donors, donor families, recipients and recipient families, health care providers, and other transplantation community members can participate in the miracle of organ and tissue donation.
In the course of providing organ and tissue donation and recovery services, Gift of Hope recognizes the many challenges faced by our communities, especially organ and tissue donors and their families. For example, many of our donor families have lost a loved one through the trauma of gun violence. The Gift of Hope Foundation seeks to positively impact the lives of all those who may be touched by our dedicated team.
The Gift of Hope Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, was formed by the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donation Network in 2018 to celebrate the life-changing gifts made by Gift of Hope’s many organ and tissue donors and their families.

Our Vision
The Gift of Hope Community Foundation strengthens our community and honor Gift of Hope organ and tissue donors by supporting a wide variety of critical community service programs. We actively engage in the efforts described below. Our focus is on the health and well-being of the transplant community, including current and future organ and tissue donors and their families, health care providers, and organ and tissue recipients.
